It was so amazing and very relaxing to paint azulejos with Ana in her beautiful studio. It felt like meditation and the results where really beautiful. Ana is extremely friendly, speaks very well english and offers water, coffee and cookies. She knows a lot about azulejos and also provides you with information about them and helps you draw In the right way. We expected to be told the history of azulejos while painting as it says in the description but that did not happen though. We also felt that we had to hurry a bit and the place was very far from the city. Besides from that, we had an amazing experience and can’t wait to receive our azulejos which Ana offered to send to Denmark for us for just 5 euros.

Ana is very skilled and had carefully prepared all the tools and tiles for everyone. With clear steps she made it easy and fun to start replicating traditional tiles participants could choose from a large selection of images. There were many colours to choose from and the possibility to either pick them up in four days or have them sent to you. I would recommend it!

Such a wonderful time with Ana. Portugal is known for their beautiful tiles and Ana really signifies that. She made me feel so welcome and gave me so much insight into creating the tiles. It was a great experience that I will definitely do again and recommend for people to do while in Lisbon.

Worth it, it was awesome to learn new art techniques! Manageable and fun also for beginners, it is especially enjoyable for people who like to draw and craft. Ana was very nice and very experienced in her craft tiles and pottery. Personal bonus for the world map where you can pinpoint forever where you came from :)

Three of us went to Ana's tilemaking class on our last night in Portugal and after visiting the tile museum in Lisbon. It was a great experience. Ana was super organized, had everything we needed to make a tile in 2 hours, including sample designs, many glaze colors and the prepared tiles, of course. It was easy and fun to transfer our chosen design onto the tile and paint on the glaze. We met other participants from South Africa and England and enjoyed seeing each others work. Ten days later, we got our finished, fired tiles in the mail. I would recommend Ana's class to anyone who wants to have the experience of creating a tile in Portugal, the land of tiles.

I really enjoyed Ana’s class! It was the perfect activity for a rainy morning in Lisbon. The studio was organized and well suited for our class of 10 people. She offers the ability to ship your finished tile home if you leave before it’s ready. I thought that was a really nice touch.

The experience was perfect. Ana was warm, helpful, knowledgable, and made the experience memorable! I would recommend tile making with Ana to any of my friends. She served coffee and cookies, which was thoughtful. After I created my tile masterpiece, she had me mark my hometown city in the US with a pin on a world map, then took a Polaroid picture as a keepsake. It created a memorable token of my experience today! Thank you, Ana!

Ana was a fantastic and welcoming host. She helped us through each step, even giving us her personal story for holding the workshop. The option to shop the tile home was an added bonus since my hotel wasn’t close to the studio. I met people in the class that I spent time with on the rest of my trip.
