Ana was very knowledgeable, patient and had a strong process to convey her story and ensure individual success. She understood the culture from which painted tiles evolved as well as the technical medium in which she taught. Her facility was top-notch which led to a fun and creative experience. I highly recommend this experience.

Ana is lovely. She made sure everyone was comfortable, she gave clear instructions, provided lots of inspiration to help us get started and we all got to paint a gorgeous azulejo! Do take into consideration that if you want to take the tile w you, you should be able to come back and pick it up in 3 or 4 days (after it comes out of the kiln). So book this at the beginning of your vacation, or it will have to be shipped to you.

We were a group of four and really enjoyed our experience with Ana. She was helpful, explained things well, and was generous with her cookies! It was a fun way to further understand all of the work that goes into handmade tiles. We’re looking forward to seeing our tiles when we return home.

This was such a wonderful experience! Ana was the perfect teacher. She gave us the right amount of instruction and then let us go but stayed right there to answer questions. We made two beautiful tiles! Even my non-artsy son had fun and made a lovely tile. So much better than buying one to take home. We could have picked them up before we left but we chose to have Ana ship them for a very good price. The coolest part was that we looked at every tiled building differently after this since we know how it’s done! I would highly recommend this experience.

Ana is a gem! Amazing experience. She gives you the tools and instruction to create your piece of art. Water and coffee are provided, as well as a Polaroid picture at the end. Shipping to US for 35 Euro if you’re unable to locally pick-up 2 days later. Amazing!

Ana was very personable and made us feel very welcome. Was a fab, different activity! We came for a fun activity to celebrate my sisters upcoming wedding and had a lovely lovely time. Ana was very accommodating, fun and went the extra mile. Recommend to all!

I highly recommend tile painting with Ana. It was a really fun way to learn more about azulejo. Ana is a great teacher, very patient and kind, and I enjoyed getting to spend some time with her and share her love of this art form. Also, her studio is pretty easy to get to but it’s a little ways outside the main tourist areas, and it was a nice chance to see a little slice of everyday Lisbon life.

This was a surprisingly delighful experience. No being an artist, I entered with some hesitation. Ana made the while experience easy, comfortable and delightful. She explained the process from stencil, to cutting, to painting and on to the kiln. We each selected a design of our liking, from a large catalog of options. As we went through the process, Ana was there to provide tips and gentle encouragement along the way. The end result is a personal painted tile that will arrive at my house when I return home--no need to carry it the rest of the trip. Overall, a great experience, in a cute neighborhood, with a take home souvenir.

This tile painting class with Ana was an absolute delight and has been the highlight of my visit to Lisbon! The studio is located in a quieter neighborhood which adds to the already endearing experience. Ana is a great teacher and extremely helpful along every step of learning to paint tiles. The class was relaxing and a wonderful break from the busy streets of downtown. Ana’s tile painting class is already on my list for my future trips to Lisbon!
