The workshop is a beautiful and inviting space. It is a working studio with various ceramic works and includes various options for classes. When I arrived, there were attendees who worked on various ceramic projects. Ana explained every step of the tile painting process and was attentive to questions. She also came around to show us certain steps to guide us. She was very hospitable and offered water and coffee. And it's very clear that she is very passionate about her workshop and ceramics. It was a very calming and fun activity - a break from the hustle and bustle of central Lisbon.

Ana is a very nice workshop host and makes you feel right at home in her lovely little shop. There are infos about the history and the art or whatever you are interested in. She is very knowledgeable and explains well. I enjoyed it for the second time because it was so nice to be there again making art.

The whole experience is great fun. Ana is a very helpful and amusing person, and she wil make sure that you are at ease during the entire process. As most people joining are not great artists (myself included), Ana provides templates to facilitate the tile making process, but always suggests to add personal touches. If you have the opportunity to discuss with the group than please do, as slight banter, will make the whole experience even more fun.

This is such a wonderful calming experience. I booked it for my mother in law and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Ana is incredible , very patient and explains the process very clearly. Highly recommend this experience. The tile my mother in law made turned out so beautiful and will be proudly hanging in her new house in London. Fantastic memories of her holiday in Portugal. It's an unique experience when you are travelling in Lisbon and seeing all the blue & other colourful tiles around. You can make your own tile and take it back with you. Ana makes sure to bake the tile and hand it to us before we leave Lisbon or she sends it via post for a extra charge. This workshop will take a little more than 2 hours based on the complexity of the design that you choose. Ana is very flexible with time and provides cookies, coffee and all required stationary. But I felt missing was some general info/history of the blue tiles, some explanation of types and methods etc. This was more of a come, draw, paint on your own thing.

I had a fantastic time with the traditional Portuguese tile painting experience. The host was charming and did an excellent job explaining every detail, which made the whole process even more thrilling. Overall, it was an exciting and memorable experience!

Had great experience making the traditional tile. Plenty of designs to choose from. Lots of colors to customize your tile with. Very detailed instructions. Ana was very patient and answered all our questions. 2 hours flew by. We were really focused on our work. It was a wonderful opportunity to focus on being creative without the constant distractions of everything around. Very zen. We choose to ship our tiles home. I know other reviews complained about the shipping, but it’s clearly stated in the class description. So it was not a big deal for us.

I was in Lisbon in February 2020, and I wanted to do something unique. I searched Airbnb experiences, and I chose tile painting with Ana. I could not have been more satisfied with my experience. Ana was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I had a great time painting tile. As a sidenote, the tile is not ready to be picked up until approximately 24 to 48 hours after you paint it. However, Ana will ship your tile to you for a minimal charge. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Lisbon!

I felt very welkome by Ana And part of the 'locals'. There were Some other students who live there, iT was Nice to meet them and have this coZy afternoon with eachother! Loved to make a tile of myself! Ana was very helpfull and created a Nice cozy atmosphere! Definatelly recommended!
