Painting was a lot of fun! We don’t dive into much detail about history while there but you get a packet with information! I chose to do a fairly simple tile because my art skills are minimal but I still had a great time and finished about 30 minutes early. Overall so glad I painted a tile instead of buying one :) also! At the moment she isn’t able to ship to the US so I did have to pick up my tile :)

Anna is a talented artist who obviously cares deeply about Portuguese culture. It was a pleasure to learn about Azulejos from her. I after I made my tile in her workshop, I later learned that some of the techniques she taught me have been used since the earliest days of Azulejos , which was very exciting to me. Anna created a warm and encouraging atmosphere online in her studio. When I was there, so were other students who have been there repeatedly . We were soon chatting like old friends. I got a great recommendation for a restaurant in her neighborhood, and insights into life in Portugal. It was a great experience I will long remember.

This was such a great experience. I took this class my first night in Lisbon and it was perfect. It was so relaxing and satisfying to paint my own tile. I picked my own design and our host Ana walked us through the entire process and she was very nice. It was a very good experience and I highly recommend!!

An absolute must experience for anyone visiting Lisbon. Quick answers: -Yes, you create and keep you own actual tile -You are able choose from a variety of designs as well as your own colours. -There is even an option to post it to another country if you are leaving before the tile cooks. I can't recommend this highly enough people! Ana is a delightful host and an incredible artist! You can clearly see her passion in what she does. Thank you Ana and Bravo for your work

Amazing experience! Had so much fun working through the process of making the tiles and loved the flexibility in being able to make the designs as simple or complex as you want. Ana provides plenty of templates to trace over, there is no pressure to be artistically talented, and we were given more than enough time. There is no better souvenir from Portugal than a tile you have painted yourself! I went with my boyfriend, and, despite him not considering himself to be very talented at painting, we both had a great time and were proud of our creations.

My daughter and I loved making the tiles. Ana spoke excellent English and we were guided into make our own Portuguese tile. We laughed and talked while making the tiles and well worth the price. We walked away with a unique souvenir. Only recommendation is take an Uber there and back. Metro is tricky with the walk.

This was such a wonderful experience even better than we expected. Ana was so welcoming and thoughtful in every way. The process itself was so therapeutic and we can’t wait to see how our final products turn out when we pick them up! We loved the personal touches like the little story behind tiles and Polaroid Ana takes after for us to take home! Was also a great way to meet people also traveling if traveling solo
